Consolidating with the other H&G boards?

For those who haven't noticed, I am the mod for this board. Today I received a suggestion that we consolidate with the other H&G boards because apparently there is some overlap in the issues being discussed.

I'm the one who originally requested this be a separate board, and I wonder if cleaning-specific threads might get lost in the shuffle on a consolidated board, but I do understand the point about increasing our traffic and possibly generating more conversation by having a larger number of folks together on one board.

I am agnostic about this and will do whatever you all think would work best. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

That's my understanding. Basically we'd be one catch-all board for home and garden issues.

I think you have the option of remainint a sub-board. Sounds like RE and G&L are stying sub-boards. Decorating is just planning on posting on the main Home & Garden board and deleting the sub-board. I know there have been some C&O related posts on the old nest D&R. I think it's completely your choice though.

Is the main board a group that all came over from the nest together? I guess I wouldn't mind but probably wouldn't post much if the main board was already clickish. But I guess if they want newbies id venture over.

Yes, newbies are always welcome... and at this point, we're all newbies anyway.

I am ok with the merge and I think it will keep H&G more lively if they are all under one. I am not a fan of having to click on 1000 different sub boards since several of the other grouped boards have sub boards too.
