So Sunday night dd started coming down with a cold. Eating normal, no fever, little cough at night due to mucus but nothing worrisome. She was up a lot on sun night but seemed ok Monday morning so I sent her to school. Got a note home from school that she was groggy and didn't seem like herself. She was clung on my chest all day and sleepy yesterday. Got her well hydrated and she perked up a little. Slept well last night, asked to go to school this morning/was excited so I sent her. Got an even worse report today from school-she was sleepy, didn't want to participate and very cranky crying a lot. Got her home today and she's acting pretty normal. She's a bit more sluggish than usual and didn't want to play outside but is playing with her toys vs not wanting to move off the couch like yesterday.
On one hand I hate for her to miss school since she missed so much this winter but I hate to keep sending her and getting these terrible reports home especially when they're probably thinking wtf is she doing sending her. Wwyd-send in or keep home tomorrow?
If she gets a good nights sleep tonight and is her normal self in the morning I would send her. If she doesn't sleep well or isn't 100% tomorrow am keep her home. Since she was sent home twice already this week I would be more inclined to keep her home if I wasn't sure.

She's preschool, right? I'm pretty generous with keeping my preschooler home if she's fighting something off, so I vote keep her home. Give her a lazy day to hang out in her jammies, watch extra TV, and rest her little body.

I would lean here. If she seems okay in the morning off she goes.
I'd keep her home. Honestly, I'd worry the school was thinking I was intentionally sending this really sick kid. School wears them out more and mine are always more pitiful in front of people.

I think I would play it by ear. Early bedtime and see how she is in the morning, could you just take her so she is there for speech and cut the day short?
