I also recently put a Walla Walla blog, but it's pretty sparse. If you want lots of good Walla Walla information check out travelingjen'sexcellentWallaWallablogs.

Cool! I think you managed to see more than I did in numerous trips. Granted, my goal was usually just to get away for a weekend and eat Indian
I'm surprised about your Harajuku experience. Did you make it over to Yoyogi park? That's crazy busy on a Sunday.
Great advice. Addresses will get you nowhere. I wouldn't have told you that it's hard to get around on public transport, though. I found English signage was never a problem, and I lived in rural remote Japan with almost no tourism. Certainly Kyoto and Tokyo are generally easy (minus lack of addresses) to navigate. Or, maybe my memory is just dulled on how many times I wandered around lost.
Appropriate for me to read now as I'm watching Japan vs Korea volleyball match and reminiscing about living on both countries. I may have to go get some ramen for lunch now!

There were a ton of people around, but only like 1 small group of kids that were really outrageous and posing for tourists. Maybe there was something else going on? I did see a two-block line for Eggs n Things though!

Didn't know they had an eggs n things there! It's an institution in Waikiki. 2 of them are open now. And, yes, many blocks lined up of mostly japanese tourists
