Hi there. I posted a few months ago about moving to the London, UK area for a short term assignment. Originally we were looking at 1 year beginning this fall or later, now it is looking like a few months beginning in May (yes. Next month. Eek).
We've been given the option of an apartment in Weybridge or Wimbledon. Anything we should keep in mind while we're deciding? DH will be working in Weybridge but they thought we might like Wimbledon better because it's closer to London? It also looks like there is a ton to do in Wimbledon. I'll have an almost 4-year-old to entertain as well.
Are we going to have a hard time getting her into a preschool or playgroup with such short notice?
We lived in Wimbledon for 3 years and loved it, both areas are full of families. She will be in nursery I believe, or possibly reception year, we moved before our son was old enough so someone else could answer that. Wimbledon Village is so cute!

Ok, sounds like we made the right choice! We're going with the Wimbledon apartment. From the map it looks like it is walking-distance to a park, train station, shopping, and more, so J and I will be all set even if DH takes the car to work. I am so excited. Everyone in HR who is working on our ex-pat package is out of the office this week so I am dying to know more. We still don't have an exact date but I've informed my employer and they are being really great about it.
