That's right, as an April Fool's joke on us, baby stayed pretty still throughout the scan with its legs firmly held together. At the end we had two operators in there trying to see what they could see and poking at my belly to try and make baby dance around a little bit.
Nope. Completely uncooperative. One lady said if you put a gun to her head she would say girl, but mostly because boys don't usually hold their legs together so tightly. Ahhhhh!
Otherwise everything else checked out just great and it went very well. DH and I will now debate whether we want to book a 3d scan to verify. I doubt I will have another ultrasound until possibly the very end since all of my results have been coming in very average, at which point I'm not even certain that I would want to know.
I was always borderline remaining team green but DH really wanted to know so I went with it. I guess I got my way without even trying too hard.

Haha, in my experience, my boys were VERY good at keeping their legs apart. Apparently that "must have plenty of space for my genitals" thing starts in the womb and never ends, even in crammed public spaces. This one was difficult to get a peek at too - both times - but I still waiver back and forth on my confidence level.
Glad everything looked good at the scan today! Our baby was also uncooperative in spreading her legs during the scan, but they eventually got a good peek.
I just got off the phone with my Dad and he says he'll pay for me to have a 3D ultrasound because he doesn't think my Stepmom will make it to the birth without finding out.
My Mom suggests pretending that I have sharp pains on my left side in about 2 - 3 weeks. (Not happening Mom) She probably doesn't know that elective ultrasounds exist though.
They are also both convinced that I'm pulling some awful April Fool's Day prank on them. They would deserve it but I'm not!
I'll talk over having an elective ultrasound with DH later. He's a bit disappointed but also 100% convinced it is a girl so he thinks we should just go with that. I'll probably wait a couple of weeks and then decide what I want to do.

I opted for an elective U/S aprilsails, but it was before my a/s (because I was antsy and I wanted to know before Christmas to tell my Grandparents in person - and then my dad stole my thunder but that's a different story lol). I thought it was worth it, but I know some people don't want to do more than they need to. I had an NT Scan too, so 3 U/S for my 3rd baby seemed right (I had 1 for the first and 2 for the second lol).

Glad everything looks good! We almost remained team green as well. Took 45 minutes or so to get a look to confirm it was a girl. And our tech did say that girls are generally the ones to keep their legs shut, while boys usually have no problem showing off.
