In honor of warmer weather, what water sports do you do? I have never gone surfing, wakeboarding, tubing, waterskiing, or anything like that, except for a few short rides on a jet ski. I do like kayaking a lot.
I love just hanging out on a boat. Also like tubing but I'm a wimp and don't like to go out of the wake, lol. I tried surfing in Costa Rica. I don't think I could really do it but it was fun to try! I have a bit of a fear of deep water and I can't go under without plugging my nose so it's hard for me to do a lot of those!
jjwritergirl, speaking of scuba... I have an irrational fear of fish, and I've tried snorkeling but hated it because I kept jumping out of the water to get away from the fish. Also, I have trouble equalizing my ears. But that just seems like a cool skill.
My ILs have a boat, and I've gone tubing from it. I don't really like it, it's too choppy and jarring for me. I'm also terrified of deep water, so I hate anything that involves more than 5 feet of water.

I've only done kyacking and was paranoid of drowning the whole time, lol. I would love to try river tubing though, with the caveat that it's a slow, sit there and do nothing river.

All fish, like little ones in a tank, or just the idea of fish touching you in open water?
I don't specifically have this fear but I still wouldn't love them touching me. I'd possibly get out too. So slimy.
When I was little and in summer day-camp they would take us to this lake, and it was full of sunfish. You'd be swimming or slashing around and all of sudden you'd feel something touch your leg and you didn't know if it was a fish or someone attempting to dunk you. LOL

I'm a big fan of the water. I love snorkeling, tubing behind boats or down rivers, wave runners, knee boarding, skim boarding, etc. I've never really gotten into wake boarding or water skiing, but I think it's the standing up part that freaks me out.

The idea of them touching me. I'm fine watching them in a tank, but don't like to see them right next to me when I'm swimming among them. A lake or river is okay when the water is not that clear and I can't SEE them. And if I feel one touch me, I jump up and scream. But clear Caribbean ocean water? Hell to the no.
