I've decided that I don't really like the naked palettes. No matter what shades I use, they give me the same look. I just need three colors for that, not a whole palette
It took me a while to come around on n3, and after watching enough tutorials and practice, I figured out how to use it in more ways. I'm not sure, knowing what I know now, that I would pay $54 for it. I will say that the other makers just aren't as appealing to me because I have a hard time figuring out how to not end up with a glittery metallic eye. I love shimmer, but I still want a mix of finishes.
I think the Balm's Nude Tude is an excellent, versatile neutral palette. My only complaint is that I wish the pale yellowy shimmer leaned more gold than true yellow. That yellow shade is awful.
Could you link some of these tutorials? Or tell me some shadow combos that work for you? I'm dark skinned, so it's a real challenge, lol. There is only a smokey eye or a glittery eye.
I'm thinking of buying the toofaced natural matte palette. Seems more versatile!

I'm not going to be of much use. I'm very fair skinned. Cool tones but more warm features, so while warm looks better, I can swing both ways.
I came to see the palette in different ways just by randomly searching and watching tutorials. I haven't put most into practice, but seeing how people combine in has helped. I generally try to think about whether I want a true pink look, a taupe/brown pink look, a peachy pink look, or a mauve-pink look. Within those, there's generally a day look and a night look.
It's not as versatile as a full color palette. But it just needs a little practice to make it work.
I think @kirkette really likes N3 and is a lot darker than me. She may have better answers.

I think I'm going to snag a melted. What color should I get? I'm thinking a bright berry?

I have berry, fig, candy and strawberry. Candy is borderline pink/berry. Try out candy or strawberry. Although strawberry is red. Both would be fun for spring and summer. The metals are awesome too. There was a doll house and macaroon that was pretty and feel into the color family you're thinking about.

I just ordered the metal one in macaroon. It was the one that called to me the most, but I had a really hard time deciding! LOL
My haul at Beauty Brands for 25% off. The single blush is in Catalina, I'm super excited to try it. The polish is Elephantastic Pink. I've never tried the Koco lipsticks, but at $6, decided to give them a try. Red my lips and Snap to it.

I'm really only like two shades darker than ESF . j/k
Yes, I love N3. Almost all the colors work with my skin. I don't watch make up videos or blogs, so I am helpless in that area.
I basically just played with the colors, and have been pleasantly surprised.
racegrrl714 Ha! I always need the money for ALL the beauty things. Well it helps that the rest of the palette isn't all pastel. I just for some reason gravitated towards the three pastels.
Also I'm kind of dying at his gorgeous everything in this insanely expensive palette is. But 95 fucking dollars? No thank you.
that's beautiful.
I have a friend who works for Tom Ford... I've never leaned on him for stuff, and I'm sure even with a discount the price would be ungodly... but it might be worth the ask...

Today's haul plus UD setting spray. The z palette and shades are from the last month or so. Oh and I also bought an embarrassing amount of Mac lipsticks this month.
