I booked the vacation package last Sunday, and we left on Friday to drive down to Orlando. Arrived in Orlando Saturday evening ready to start having fun at Disney Sunday morning.
Sunday was a waterpark day. The kiddo and I headed to Blizzard Beach. He was picked to open the park, so we were taken inside the park early and given a chance to ride Summit Plummet before the park opened. He was given a medal to wear so everyone would know he was Ski Captain for the day. Other perks included a private hut with chairs by the wave pool, free towel rentals, and a free locker rental. The park was pretty empty since the temp that day barely reached 70, but the pools were all heated so it wasn't like we froze. It was one of the more enjoyable days. We didn't have to wait in line for anything.
Monday was Magic Kingdom day. We arrived at the park at around 6:15 so we could get through bag check and position ourselves by the gate for 7am rope drop. We had breakfast at Be Our Guest that day, and ended up eating lunch there, too. We stayed in the park until 8:15 and then hurried out of there before Wishes started. Neither the kid or I had any desire to be a part of that soul crushing crowd.
Tuesday was another Magic Kingdom day. Arrived roughly at the same time in the morning. We ate at Tony's Town Square for lunch and left the park around 3:30 to head back to the hotel and swim. We also went to play mini-golf that evening. Nice quiet change of pace.
Wednesday was our last day, and we went to Typhoon Lagoon. He was picked to open the park there, too, and everyone made a big deal over him being the Big Kahuna. We were given a tour of the entire park before opening, which was pretty cool. Same perks at Blizzard Beach. It was much more busy than Blizzard Beach had been, but still not terrible overall, especially for spring break. I think we only waited 5 minutes or so for the slides in the afternoon.
It was a good trip. We did everything we wanted to do. I don't think I'd ever go during spring break again, though. It was a little too busy for my liking.
Wow, awesome trip! I'm glad you had fun. That's so cool your son was chosen and given all those perks. I'm way too much of a late sleeper to ever make park opening. Where did you stay?

We stayed at Pop Century. I let him choose and that's where he wanted to stay this time.
