I've only been crocheting since last October. I'm not even close to serious about it. I just like to crochet for fun and it reduces my stress from work.
What are some things that you guys have made lately? I'm also thinking about making some Christmas Stockings, but I don't know if I should crochet them or look into sewing them.
Google. Sometimes I just go to the store and pick a yarn I like. Most have patterns on the label. Slippers are going to kill me. I can never get it right. Bernat and lion brand are a couple of sites. There is red hart too, but the yarn isn't very soft.

I use Google a lot. I mostly search images.
I use this pattern for slippers. I like to use Caron Simply Soft yarn. thelittlehousebythesea.wordpress.com/2009/09/03/free-pattern-for-mary-jane-slippers/ I love it. They're pretty quick and very comfortable. I actually just started a pair about an hour ago aInd just realized it's a British pattern. Where it says DC, it should actually be an American SC. I'm half way through the first slipper and was wondering why it looked so big. I may just leave off the strap and make them men's slippers. Lol.
google, mostly. I also re-pin things I stumble across that I find to be interesting, fun, what have you... I have designs on making Joaquin some leg warmers with a really cool scale stitch soon, and I need to decide which hat(s) to make her before it gets chilly, and maybe some mittens. I did a bunny last year. This year I'm going to do a cloche-style, and some yet to be determined animal. With the animal hats I usually just wing it.
