I purchased some flannel wipes from an Etsy seller for a decent price- the vendor was TurtlesRUs. She had a decent color selection and they have held up well for over a year now.

I haven't tried cheap baby washcloths for diaper changes, but we use them to clean up after meals and I think they would also be great. I think the kind that I have are Circo from Target, and they definitely don't come very clean in the wash, but I'm also using them multiple times and I never stain treat before I throw into the laundry.

I just bought a yard of cute flannel at the fabric store. With coupons it was like 78 cents. Easy peasy.
