-have been doing well working well with the first 2.
- working on ttc
- I went on medication for my depression/anxiety. Zoloft has actually helped me more than I thought it would. I am actually feeling like a human and myself. It has been wonderful!
1: Earn a promotion at work. Working on it. 2: Initiate sex at least 2x a week. This is a big, fat fail. 3: Get back into my regular work out routine. This one has been up and down. Currently not doing so great. 4: Follow through with health recommendations made by my doctors. This one I've been working really hard on, especially since my diagnosis. 5: Build e-fund to cover at least 6 months of living expenses. HAHAHAHAHAHA. 6: Focus on keeping up with household chores/cleaning. We've gotten a lot better at this, actually. We still have a ways to go, but there has been a definite improvement. 7: Read 20 new books during 2015. I haven't even read one. 8: Drink the recommended amount of water every day. It's rare that I drink less than 6 glasses, and usually it's more like 8 or 9. I've been tracking it in my food journal. 9: Eliminate soda from my regular diet. I haven't had a soda since December, which is HUGE for me since I was a daily soda drinker.
--Create and actually stick to a budget. Update: Oops.
--Get rid of CC debt once and for all. Update: On track to have it gone in June!
--Build e-fund back to three months (at about one now). Update: Will get on this as soon as CC is gone!
--Get through the first few months of parenthood without killing each other (I am not pleasant when I'm sleep-deprived) Update: H is amazing and we have been so appreciative of each other. We went on our first post-baby date last night and had a great time.
--Be more social. Update: I kind of have no choice but to succeed at this one since everyone and their brother wants to come by and meet the kiddo!
1. Finish house repairs, and dejunk/organize so we can list house to sell. Update: Almost done! Plan is to list next week, if we can get the realtors out here before they leave for their vacation midweek.
2. Walk dog at least 300 days of the year (allows for illness, etc. but hoping to try to do at least a short walk with him every day.) Update: I have lost count But we did awesome with Moose up until we brought puppy 2 home in mid-March. Now they play together so well that they tire each other out. And it's kind of hard to walk both at the same time by myself. But once summer hits, I'm going to take them out one at a time during the day, then we'll do a family walk with H after he gets home from work.
3. Fit comfortably in a size 10 (or smaller) by December if not knocked up. Update: Still not knocked up. I have two pairs of size 10 that technically fit, but aren't comfortable yet.
4. Graduate with my Masters! Update: 4.0 so far. Apparently my advisor was changed with no notification until I tried emailing who I thought was my advisor with registration questions. Meeting with the new one today to make sure I'm good to graduate in August.
5. Actually follow (and track) the budget we made this year. Update: Successful for the first three months!
katespade I'm impressed that you haven't had soda since December. I really need to cut back. Any tips?
Moderation is not something I'm good at, so I gave it up cold turkey and replaced it with water. H rarely drinks soda at home anymore, either, so that I don't have to deal with the temptation to share his drink. The combination of not having soda in the house and not going out to eat because of my new dietary restrictions has really helped me stick to it.
Plus, now that I can feel the positive effects of not drinking it, it's easier to resist when I do get a craving.

That's awesome! Unfortunately I've worked up from 1 can a day to multiple cans a day. And when I run out, I succomb to the temptation of the 86 cent 44 oz fountain soda at the corner gas station. Lately though, the cans taste a bit "off" so I'm wondering if that won't help me get over it.

That's exactly how I was. H and I were going through an embarrassing amount of soda between the two of us at home, plus the extra that I would buy/drink during my workday because we have a vending machine in our break room. I've tried giving up soda a few times, but this has been my most successful attempt and I think my focus on staying hydrated by focusing on drinking water has made a big difference.
1) Lose at least 40 pounds- um, yeah, haha. I've lost...seven since January? So not off to a great start, but I still have time to pull it off 2) Pay off two credit cards- done! And on track to (hopefully) pay off a third one by the end of the year! 3) Set a monthly budget and stick to it-HAHAHAHA. Not even close. Several big unexpected expenses and a pay cut killed all dreams of that goal. Oh well. 4) Buy a new car- done! I got her in January. Sooner than I had planned to, but we got a great deal and I love her so much. I've never had a nice car to drive, so I'm just loving that
So, 50% right now? And I still think I can pull off losing 33 more pounds by the end of the year. I figure three out of four isn't bad
1. Initiate a night out once every 2 months with people we know in our area in order to have a better social life. We invited friends from OOT to come visit this weekend which then lead to another in town mutal friend setting up dinner so...yes? I am also hosting a MLM party on the 19th so that will make up for the month that I didn't do anything. 2. Conceive and deliver a healthy baby Working very hard on this one. 3. Keep up with reading my bible every night I started to read the bible verses that are sent to me every morning. 4. Read more books Check!
1. Sell old house - Done! 2. Pay off home improvement loan - Done! 3. Finish all (planned) inside projects on new house - Haven't been working on them, but we are starting to talk about it again. 4. Read at least one book a month - Haven't done this, but I read three in January so I'm still reading more then I was. 5. Start meal planning again - Some weeks yes, some weeks no. Focusing on this now. 6. Eat healthier. Loose baby weight (I try not to focus on weight but I want to be healthy) - Thinking about joining a Dietbet. Never done one before. I still have 20 pounds or so to go. 7. Don't loose focus on mine and DH's relationship with all the changes coming about. - In progress and so far so good. 8. Build an emergency savings back up. - We have savings now, but I need to sit down and look at our finances to see where I want it to be and if we are there yet. 9. Plan an awesome trip for our 5th wedding anniversary - Anniversary in June, planning a trip in the fall. Haven't done this yet but still on the list. 10. Establish and stick to a more organized routine in house maintenance. - Not even close at the moment. I did have one day of house cleaning last week that was more then just the basics.
So far doing pretty good. Much better then 2014's goals.

1. Consistent Crossfit attendance (ideally 4x/week) Right now, if I make it twice a week I'm doing well. Hoping to get back to 3-4/week in a few weeks when things slow down with work.
2. Get over fear of being inverted and do a handstand push-up Eliminated this goal
3. Keep up with mailing birthday cards to close friends and family. That was a resolution last year and I kept up with it for the most part, only missing a few. I've hit all family and really close friends. There were a couple other friends I would have liked to have sent one, that I let slip.
4. Give yoga another shot Still haven't done it. I will though. At some point.
1. Continue to focus on my weekly schedule. (I'll spare you the deets) Doing it...
2. FINALLY pay off the last card!!! I'm on track! I get paid bi-weekly. Since there are 3 pay periods in May, I'll be paying a chunk down and may actually be paid off by the end of July.
3. Talk to DH about an IRA or 401k for him by July/August 2015. (Don't judge. These dancers don't always have retirement plans on their minds.) Will stil be hitting this around then....I promised his Mom.
* Things I can't control...but God can: 5. Conceive happy and healthy baby or babies in 2015 Praying...and having sex Of course, after I posted this we discovered his varicocele and had the surgery in February. Now we wait, pray....and have sex. Sprinkle in BBT's and OPK's of course!
jjwritergirl and katespade. In addition to drinking the soda, I've upped my water too- went from no water just soda/milk to a minimum of 50 ounces of water a day. I just dislike water unless it's super cold, which isn't possible at work. So I make myself drink the 50 ounces (even as it becomes room temp) but have no way to refill the jug there. When I get home I feel so full of liquid that the thought of more water makes me cringe. I tried fruit in my water last week but that was worse than plain water.
Personal Goals: 1) Read more books (not sure what yet) FAIL. Only 2 books for the year thus far... 2) Get into a good workout program/routine Half and half. I still need to do better. 3) Constantly declutter and purge "stuff" Yes. I'm always throwing stuff out! 4) Complete wedding scrapbook nope.. 5) Write more notes and letters to friends/family I was doing better at first, I need to get back into it. 6) Build photography portfolio and aquire more equipment Nada
Financial Goals: 1) Pay off H's car loan YES. LAST WEEK! Wahhoooo! 2) Build E-Fund 4 months living expenses Only at 1 month thus far, working on it 3) Finalize and stick to budget Still working on tracking 4) Save $$ in general I would say yes, I've changed a lot of policies to save some $$$ we are doing well! Keep it going though. 5) Keep building retirement and set H's up Not yet. Hopefully early summer I'll have time to do this!
-Read more....yeah this isn't going so well. I used to read voraciously. -Be more grateful....trying. -Eat less junk....failing here, I've been giving in to the sweets lately. -Have sex more often....the opposite has been happening. -Keep up with housework....at least this is going okay. -Try to make new friends....haven't yet lol. -Set some boundaries with my mom....I'd say this is a failure judging by a 2-minute phone call I had with her this morning where she managed to judge me, criticize me, and call me stupid. All because I didn't want to go to her town library to donate some canned food to pay off the fines on my library card - which was issued by a completely different town so that renders this whole plan useless. But, since I refuse to save money I must be stupid, right? -Refinance student loans....this was a success! -Do yoga 2x a week....nope.
-Keep up with the dog poo cleanup....the yard is filled with mines right now.
