My favorite bra brand never seems to go on sale, but I got an email this morning that barenecessities.com is including it in its current sale, so I just ordered three new bras. I still spent way too much, but at least it was less of a too much than it would be regularly.
Not much here. Sitting at work, not doing any actual work, lol. So far I've eaten breakfast, looked through the book order form daycare sent home, and made a list of my meals for the week. I do have some stuff to get done today, but my boss is off all week, so I'm taking it easier than usual
The weather here is so messed up. On Thursday, it got up to 70, and high 60s on Friday. Then it snowed (wtf?) Saturday and Sunday. Nothing like hunting for Easter eggs in the snow, lol. And now today I think it's supposed to be 60 again

I'll have to see if the ones I like are included. Mine rarely go on sale either, and coupons exclude them.
Exactly! It's so frustrating. I like Freya and even on sale they're over $50, but it's better than paying full price and I don't have any bras that fit me right now so I've needed to order some for quite a while.

That's awesome! Bra shopping is probably my least favorite kind of shopping ever

I never feel bad about spending too much on a bra. You wear them every day!!! And you're buying good quality (not VS) so don't feel bad about spending money on it. That's my rationalization anyway ;-)

Morning!!!
We got a notification that our taxes are ready to be filed (a company does it for us since we have to deal with Intl stuff), and surprisingly, we overpaid so we're getting a refund! I was surprised but happy :-)
Also, I got my brows threaded for the first time on Saturday. I loved it! So much better than plucking or waxing. I now need to throw out my tweezers :-P
There is a sickness going around my building. Apparently nurses, aids, and residents are vomiting and going home sick. I am a crazy woman in my office wiping down phones and door handles trying to not catch whatever it is they are spreading around.

Oh no!!!! That's awful. Workplace sicknesses are so bad
I'm sitting at the lab for 2 hours for my glucose test. Hoping the results are good! I hope these 2 hours go fast because I could not fall asleep last night for some reason. I'm exhausted! I also think I might have a sinus infection. Yuck. And it's snowing out today. Oh well, despite it all I'm in a decently good mood!
Oh! I forgot that I have another random. So yesterday we were leaving H's uncle's house and I saw a truck with two hockey stickers on his car. One was my college and the other was a rival college. I thought it was weird until I noticed the numbers on the logos. It was definitely someone related to a guy on my college's hockey team that just signed a pro contract! His brother plays for the rival school. I thought it was pretty cool, haha.
Morning. I've been up since 5am and starting to fade lol. I kept waking myself up coughing.
We are currently at the laundry mat. I dropped my car off this morning for new tires, inspection and oil change. Later I need to workout since I was lazy all weekend.
I've been up since 4:15. DH stayed home today because he isn't feeling good. That means I got an early morning grocery shopping trip (which is what I prefer!) and it was nice. DH started giving me crap about leaving him with G. I told him too bad I was buying us food. He already apologized when I got home. I've been stuck in the house to much I just need to get out and do things!
I got called out by someone at our company headquarters for poor performance YTD in a certain metric. I responded with 1) I was on maternity leave so... and 2) your reporting sucks, is misleading, and is difficult to read. I'm actually pretty frustrated because had the reports from HQ been better, I could have fixed the issue immediately upon return from maternity leave. Oh well, it's fixed now. NBD.
Random: we've lived in this house for 4 years and I just realized yesterday that our kitchen window has a roll down screen. That would have been useful to know on all the days that I've had to open the window to let the cooking/baking heat out.
My Mom doesn't have her FRICKIN phone connected to the hospital's wifi (and has a poor signal on top of that) so NO ONE can get in touch with her for updates about Dad. OMG! My baby brother is going by there on his lunch break to check and hopefully tell her to connect to the darn WIFI to at least be able to provide us an update. Good grief! On top of that, Dad specifically said he didn't want it all over Facebook (at least until he was healing and close to going home). What does my AW middle brother do? Pop it all over Facebook first thing this morning.
This all makes me sad especially since Dad was so quiet at our family get-to-gether on Saturday.
Update: 15 minutes later she texts us an update on HIS phone. Of course, none of us called him on it thinking she would have hers. Whatever. At least we know he's being moved into a room within an hour. But still, we've all been on edge since 5 a.m.
Taking my mom to her appointment today. Another draining and likely 10 liters again...we just went last week and she thinks she will need to go twice this week. The appointments are only getting closer and closer. She had her appointment with the doctor that works at the transplant center...her liver is well controlled on meds so her score is way too low for the list (she's at a 7, list at 15, transplant around 28-32). None of this makes any sense because I'm sure she'll die of the side affects from her liver failing well before her score ever reaches that high Hoping we're wrong but everything we've read says that refractory ascites results in death 75% within 1 year...she's had it for at least 6 months now.
Oh well...at least we're making the most of this time together. She loves sitting in the back seat with C and talking to him (even when I say "it's all business, he needs to nap before we get there"...she's so cute, it really doesn't bother me all that much because she needs that time with him and he does too). We get to enjoy Panera afterwards too...it's always a good day despite the circumstances!
Um I just stocked up on 50% off easter candy. Just yesterday I was a little down about not yet having a kid (could have been it's 2 easter, if we were lucky early enough on, or even the 1st easter. Or even been PG this easter) and so I guess now I'm going to be eating my feelings in Mini M&Ms and Reese Eggs.
On the other hand, BIL and FIL are downstairs working. I'm organizing/packing/decluttering upstairs. MIL keeps sending me messages that H should go to the ER, but H doesn't want to go. He does need to make a follow up appointment though. MIL tried calling to set one up for him...with her doctor. I thought we got through to her when we first married that we will not be seeing the same family doctor and that she should not be discussing our medical concerns with doctors or otherwise (hello...HIPPA).
luv2rn4fun I'm so sorry about your mom's situation. I just keep reading story after story about how messed up the transplant system is
I don't know anything about laws or the cost, but someone I know had a transplant in mexico. That sounds super shady. And it probably is, but maybe there is a legit way? Their transplants are for profit.
Hmm...definitely something to look into though...I'm mean when you get to the point where your only options are transplant or death then I would be willing to do whatever to keep her here.
With livers there's also the option that someone donates a portion of their liver (the liver regenerates). We have all offered but she took it off the table when she did her research and learned that the donor has more complications than the recipient.
And yes, the transplant system is a mess. It's nearly impossible to get an organ...but at least there's hope if you're on a list.

What made threading better? It seems like it would feel the same and yield the same results. No?
Well it's better than waxing because I think it's a lot more precise.
(According to Prof Google), threading is good for a number of reasons - it pulls the hair only, not the skin like waxing does, so it is better for sensitive skin types. It can also shape the brow, not just from underneath but on top as well.
It is just common over here and my brows were a mess so I decided to go for it, and I'm a convert ;-P
