If it is, I'm sure I would have had a snappy comeback like, "well, I guess that older generation didn't teach their kids to respect their elders over thinking for themselves, did they?"

However, I'm often sarcastic to my mom when she's acting a bit weirdo.

I have an aunt who would totally say something like that. She thinks Obama was sent by the devil. Seriously. It is laughable except I get concerned when I see how many people on FB tell her she is incredibly smart for defending these views (and by defending, she cites right-wing, nut-job blogs...)

According to my mom, there are studies proving that women actually make much MORE than men in the workplace. And you can't trust other studies that say the opposite because they're from liberal organizations who want us to believe that women are at a disadvantage.
