Any recs for products that I can use to tightline the upper lash line that won't transfer to the lower lash line? I look tired and old if I have any product (including mascara) on the lower lash line. I have tried a few waterproof pencils and avoid the waterline, but they still seem to smudge all over. Do I need to lower my expectations or is there a trick/product that works for you?
I am able to line pretty effectively in the lash line without actually tightlining. Have you tried that?
I don't have hooded eyes (yet!) but my upper eyelids are fairly heavy, so I can usually only get away with a very thin line across the top. My lashes look so much fuller and my eyes look more open when I tightline, but it get everywhere. Maybe I just need to work on getting liner more in between the lashes from the upper lash line rather than below the lash line.
I use a flat brush and black eye shadow and sort of push up Into my upper lashes. (Wayne Goss method; there's a video). Probably not technically tightlining but I just can't stuck a pencil into my upper line. That shit hurts!!!!
I like gel liners. Bobbi Brown is fantastic and totally a HG for me. If you want to try something cheaper, I've had good luck with the Maybelline one and the brush it comes with is decent. I think some people here have also liked the Essence one.
I like self-sharpening pencils. I've had good luck with both bare minerals and Chanel. I do have small, hooded eyes, so transfer is a common problem for me.
Tightline your eyes first even before primer, then clean up and proceed with everything else.
I use clinique gel eyeliner and the laura mercier flat eyeliner brush. I have debated trying the MUFE flat eyeliner brush because I have about worn this one out using it so much for years. I will probably just rebuy this one though.
