I use the Clinique moisturizer (the yellow one) most of the time. I'm wanting to switch to something that has SPF built in, but I hate the thick feel of most of the "moisturizers" (I dont think they are that moisturizing) that I've tried that have sunscreen.
Any recommendations? Would love to find something similar in weight/feel to the Clinique moisturizer.
I need to find one too. With no silicones. I'm using Say Yes to Cucumbers right now, but I cannot get that stuff to actually moisturize and it's horrible to even try to rub in. I mix some jojoba oil with it to take care of the extra moisture and easier to rub in. I think I will have this problem with any SPF moisturizer with no silicone.
heyjude (or anyone else) do you put much stock into Paula's Choice reviews on products?

I feel suspicious of their reviews. They seem to hate everything, which is not a surprise because they are also selling products themselves. They get hung up over unspecified "irritants" that have never bothered my skin but shrug their shoulders over parabens. I actually trust the ladies at Makeupalley more than Beautypedia.
Maybe that's flameful. I don't know.
When Consumer Reports reviews things, they arent also trying to sell you stuff at the same time.

Cerave AM! I've been using it for years now, and I love it. SPF 30, and I find it to be pretty moisturizing, although I use something thicker at night.

I think these are valid concerns, particularly the assumption that certain ingredients are automatically irritating to all, and any review warrants critical thought. PC was reviewing products long before it launched its own product line, and the website gives top reviews to many products, both low and high-end, that are not its own, so I'm not inclined to dismiss its opinions completely. Like any other product review, I think people need to read it as one opinion out of many, and look for multiple opinions to see what the general consensus is.
As for the OP, I use CeraVe AM when I want a moisturizer + sunscreen. It's very reasonably priced and works well for me.

I still go there so I haven't completely written them off but something about their reviews and the fact that they are also selling their own line makes me feel squicky. And also the way they assign stars is strange. I've seen "this is a good product but there are better out there: 1 star." Or "this is a decent product but it has peppermint in it and peppermint may bother someone: 1 star." Or "this product is fine but it's been the same ingredients for 40 years: 1 star." Huh? I just don't know what to do with this information!!!!!
