I've recently lost almost 70 pounds and don't know how/where to shop anymore. I'm still a size 12, 14, or 16, based on recent dressing room experiences, I know I'm floating between and among sizes 12-16.
I saw raves about express re rocks, but they appear only to sell through size 12, and I'm not yet an express 12.
Suggestions for other denim options for a full-figured gal? I need basic jeans for Fridays to go with high school spirit t shirts on casual teacher days, but I'd love a pair of jeans to hit the town on a date night too.

14s are either online only, or my mall was totally out in all styles. I'm just not sure I'm close enough to a 14 in these yet. Have you seen 14s in store? 12s were up but not even thinking of buttoning/zipping. I'd rather not order online unless I was pretty confident they'd work.

NO idea on waist size as regular size. I haven't been in14s in 6+ years, and I don't think I've shopped by waist size since I could pull off Guess 29s...maybe in the 90s??
No, I don't think I have. I do size down in rerocks though a full size because of the amount of stretch in them. Order them and return them in store of they don't fit. Try them on with spanx.

Sizing in mind boggling though. I bought two size 12s this weekend; one pair of dress pants and one pair of jeans. Both are tight but zip and button just fine. I'm still 30ish pounds from goal, so I don't mind a bit of "aspirational purchasing," but the variance is maddening between styles and designers.

Express does not carry 14 in stores anymore unless it was a returned online order. However, if you go to the store and are part of their loyalty program (which is just a phone number and email to sign up) they will order it for you and ship it to your house for free. You can also return in store if it doesn't work out. If you like the ReRocks the Stella jeans are supposed to be a similar fit (I wear the stella but don't have any ReRocks so I'm not sure if it is completely true)
I'm the same size as you are, and I love a few different brands. Not Your Daughter's Jeans are amazing - they sell them at Macy's and Nordstrom. I also love the Kut brand from Nordstrom. I always get both of those brands at Nordstrom Rack for way cheaper than they are at Nordstrom, too, so definitely check out Nordstrom Rack.
Also, I love Gap jeans. I wear a 14 in most places, but a 16 in Gap, but they're fabulous.

This. I wear a 16 and fell in love with NYDJ and Kut from the Kloth this weekend.

Found a pair of Seven jeans at stein mart today for $39. They're sexy, but I'm not sure they're going to work with Friday spirit tshirts. Saw NYDJ at Macy's but worried they were the most obvious mom jeans ever, no??
Good tip about express and ordering in store for free shipping. I think I'm 15 pounds from confident Express 14 ordering. They might work now, but there's no joy in being too big for the biggest size offered and having to return them. =\

The Buckle! They have jeans for many different body types and sizes and definitely have 14-16s (I think most of their brands go up to waist size 34). I'm a 12-14 and the Miss Me 32s fit perfectly. I also like Big Stars, MEK, and BKE. They have different rises and all shapes (skinny, straight, boot cut, trouser). Usually I go for a mid rise straight or boot cut. You won't have to order online so you can try on a bunch and see what works for you, and the store by me has awesome customer service. Those girls work endlessly to find me the perfect jeans. They hem for free with the original hem. I probably sound like an advertisement but I really love getting jeans there. It's the only place where I end up finding 4-5 pairs of jeans that I love.

It might depend on your body or the cut of the jeans. I loved their jeggings when I tried them on in Nordstrom but I'm obsessed with the pair of Straight that I got on clearance at Macy's, they fit me just like a skinny but not as tight at the ankle.
THIS. I am in love with Talbot's pants! I just tried all of their pants and the fit of curvy line was awesome! Depending on where you want the waist to be, they have 4 different fits and I am sure the curvy or the signature line will most likely fit you well.
