Intro and a Question

I've been lurking here and there for a few months and thought it was about time I introduced myself.

My husband and I, along with our 2 year old daughter, moved to the Boston area for new jobs at the end of August after living in Western MA for over 8 years. I'm not sure what else/how much you want to know, so feel free to ask me anything!

Now for my question. I just found out that surprise! I'm pregnant. I haven't found an OB/GYN out here yet, so I was hoping you ladies might have a recommendation. I think I want to deliver at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, so someone in that area is preferred. Thanks so much!

Where are you located? A lot of obs deliver at NWH in the Boston area. I live in Reading and my ob is in Burlington, at Harvard vanguard, and they deliver there. I know several obs in the Framingham/Natick area also deliver there as well.

Welcome! Where in western MA were you living? I grew up out that way (Springfield) - there are things I miss like whoa, and some things (like Springfield itself, ha!) that I don't.
No help with the OB rec, as I'll be delivering at Winchester, but as imimahoney says, there are tons in the area who deliver at NW. Congrats!

Welcome. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rebecca Kolp and her team; but she delivers at MGH with hours at MGH Boston and MGH West Waltham. I worked with the Waltham office and they were just fantastic.

I used to go to Wellesley Women's Care
(Offices at NWH medical building)
Delivered #1 and #2 there

I delivered #3 at Winchester.

I didn't realize so many doctors deliver at NWH. I live in Waltham and work in Newton, so someone in that area. I was thinking about Newton-Wellesley OB/GYN. Does anyone have experience there?

5kcandlesinthewind - I lived out in the Berkshires near Pittsfield, but I went to college in Springfield. I know exactly what you mean about missing some things and not others!
