Since I am still stuck in the dark ages, I am presently uploading all my CDs. My person better appreciate all my super hard work once I get this thing done!
I'm pretty sure it was only two songs by one artist so no one is getting a deluge of Mindless Self Indulgence. Just an extra helping of Johnny Cash is all.
I am making mine totally eclectic, I think. I'm all over the place, 80s, 90s current, whatever. I can't stick with one theme. Well, I can, but I don't want to send 5 CDs.
Vicky, either would make me happy. There is a good chance I own plenty of each but I like to make mixtapes so I would love it no matter what was on it.
Poor Vicky. I think she just wants someone to tell her what to do. I'm going to say go with the guilty pleasures since to me, that has more personality than a generic pop/rock. But I like my mix tapes all over the place.
Oh shit, I meant to add Steven Lynch to mine and I forgot. Someone needs to Youtube Vanilla Ice Cream.
I'm trying to recall if my pick would love or hate it if I scrawled ERMERGERD, MERSERK! on their CD.

I ent with picking from some of my favourite songs & artists, and then compiling for good flow. I made 3 CDs (for my swap person, and one each for Erin ExPat & Jalapeno Mel) and all three have hip hop, indie, new wave, punk, and oldies. No songs are repeated on each of the three discs, but all three probably have some of the same artists as each other.

I really hope my person likes mine. I listen to a ton of older music, and I purposely tried to stay away from that and pick newer stuff that I thought she might not have heard before. I had a really hard time narrowing it down though.
I had trouble with the only one song per artist rule at first too, but then once I got into it, there was SO MUCH I wanted to put on that it kind of balanced out, heh.
Also, I kind of want to just randomly send people mix CDs now. In fact, if I have your address, I might do this. Fair warning.
i love the mix i made (and i'm hoping my person will too) but i'm more proud of my cover art. it's nothing super fancy, but i like the design and color scheme. and i'm so lame, that i'm carrying said design to the cd itself, and the mailing envelope!
my mix is all songs i love, but a lot of them came from my college radio days. so they're not really radio tracks. hope my person has an open mind!
We might have to do this once a month. It's not like it's an expensive proposition. I want to make another one to send but I need to pick up more CD's.
Hey there! I plan to! Haha I listened once through in the car today. I'm going to give it one more listen tomorrow, and then I will judge you based on your musical selections.
Kidding, but I'll tell you about my favorites. I only knew about 3 songs on there, which is really fun.
Ok good. I was just hoping you wouldn't listen to it and wonder "What the hell is this crap?" lol
