Anyone have suggestions for an early dinner before going to an event at the Harpoon Brewery? I think we will be on foot between South Station and Harpoon, so something in Seaport/Fort Point would be ideal. Ideally not super expensive, if there is a fun bar we would also be happy to sit at the bar of a nicer restaurant with a bar menu and do bar/happy hour snacks with a cocktail.
Drink is a fun bar with a snack menu. Legal Harborside has a nice bar with full menu. Blue Dragon is pretty good and casual. There are a ton of places down there.

Thanks guys. For some reason I could only think of LTK or Temazcal and I wanted to get some other choices. I liked Temazcal but I think we want something more greasy/hearty for our copious amounts of beer drinking to follow.
We might check out Pastoral and/or Drink. Thanks for the recs!!
Ugh Drink is nearly impossible to get into a super pretentious. They take your name and make you wait in line to get in and you can't move seats. It doesn't open until 3:45

That's why I like it! I like that I KNOW I will have a designated space and it won't be overcrowded.
<-----OLD.
It doesn't have a big menu though, so it may not be a good plan for your "copious" pre-drinking eating. But you can always fill up on pretzels at Harpoon, too. That's what I always do.

I went there for their good drinks and told them what I like (bitter drinks and aromatic) and got an Old Fashioned. No, just no. I also went with someone who has MS and chronic pain and they took a chair that no one was using away from her.

That would leave a really bad taste in my mouth, too. And not just from the Old Fashioned.

Well I'll be arriving at south station at 4:30 so that's not horrible. It sounds like any of the speakeasy type bars in NYC or philly.

Ok that is shitty they made you an old fashioned. We got a new cocktail bar with no menus in pvd and I got all mad when we went and something similar happened to me.
