Very ill dog.:(

Not mine, my brother's.

Last Sunday, her bark vanished. A couple days later he took the dog to my vet. He diagnosed a cold, post nasal drip and an eye infection. She also had an upset stomach.

Today she is not doing well. She can't hold food down and she won't let him give eye drops.

He took her to an evet and now it seems a liver problem is in the mix.

Her eyes are red and there's no distention of her liver. They think it's a fatty liver.

The dog is only 5.

I guess he wasn't thinking; the easiest way for eye drops is to get a muzzle and then give her the drops.

They pumped her full of fluids and then sent her home. There was the option to keeping her overnight but that would have cost $1500.

I told him to get a second opinion tomorrow morning; let them re run the liver profile they ran this morning.
