Tips/Tricks for Gillette?

Hoping you ladies can help me out. I've been to Gillette Stadium exactly once - for a Taylor Swift concert 2 or 3 years ago. We left early, so we had no trouble getting out of the lot. 

FIL has bought tickets to a concert for him and DH to go to for DHs bday. They are going to want to stay through the whole show. FIL asked me to help find a hotel. The hotel at Patriot Place is already sold out, as are a few nearest to the stadium. I'm wondering whether there are any further out with a shuttle service to drop off at Gillette? Or if there are other transport options I'm not aware of?

I am not familiar with any hotels that have a shuttle to Patriot Place. The traffic coming/going is always a little bit of a shitshow in my experience, unfortunately.

I would look into the Sheraton and Marriott on Rte 1 in Norwood and see if they have shuttle options. Or cave and hit a bar at PP after the show until traffic dies down
