I am tired. I stayed up late talking with BFF last night and catching her up on life. And Thursdays are my early rise days. But it was worth it. And DS loves seeing his Auntie

I spent yesterday evening snaking my main drain.
I'm kind of pissed about it because I have a theory as to "why" it needed to be done. It includes one of my SILs and a tampon. H thinks it's a highly likely theory.
My house is 80 years old! Don't flush feminine products down my toliet! Isn't that common knowledge!

I thought it was, but apparently not. 6 months after we moved into our house, we had to have our pipes fixed. They tried snaking the drain and found some in our pipes. I knew it wasn't from us because at that point I was the only female living in the house and I know better.

that would have been terrible!
It was. Though unfortunately wasn't the issue that caused the problem.
I didn't sleep great and have been up since 4:30. Ugh. On the plus side, after TWO shampoos, ear cleaning, nail clipping, and cutting off all the fur on her feet (for better grip) and all the stained fur on her back leg - my foster is like a brand new dog! She also doesn't have to wear the cone head and is a lot more relaxed.
I've had a sinus headache for the past 4 days and general allergy grossness (runny nose, watery eyes...) for the past 2 weeks. Can the damn trees just bloom already?
Actually, I probably need to pick up some Allegra instead of Claritin. The Claritin doesn't seem to do a damn thing.
I have a dentist appointment this morning, DS has one right after me, then I have to run home and wait around for the termite inspection guy to get there. I might get some work done today. Maybe.
DD said "we need to save our money so we can move to a different house mama. There's too much coming in from the outside.". She wasn't happy about the mouse. But we're on morning #2 of clean counters!
Finally got some paperwork in for the big boss. I can get him reimbursed! YAY!!!
I had to switch to Zyrtec. Claritin did nothing this year and usually it works pretty well for me.
I need the ones with the D because otherwise, they do nothing.Â
I actually had to look up what the difference was. The "d' is for decongestant. Ah, I'm taking Zyrtec and an additional sinus decongestant. Lol. I guess I should have just gotten the Zyrtec D and saved myself some medicine taking.
That's a fantastic pic of both of you, doglove! I love the smiles
Sorry about the migraine mags - hope you can get some meds to kick in soon!
I have a weekly meeting every Thursday morning which usually lasts just long enough to make me lazy about getting to the gym. I need to get my butt in gear.

Yeah the one's with the decongestant really work wonders.
I was up late last night for no good reason. Today is picture day at work and I'm swamped today. No idea when I'll be able to sneak away for a photo. But I'm still doing my hair and makeup all nice.
I forgot to tell you guys what DS#1 did on Saturday. We did all of our laundry at the laundromat, so when everything went into the dryer, we took a walk. On our way back, DS#2 kept trying to walk in front of DD & I. DS#1 would stop, put his arm out to slow/stop DS#2 and say "No, it's ladies first!". It was freaking adorable, he was so adamant about it and I have no idea where he picked it up.

DS told me last night that when he's not home and I feel lonely or scared I can bring out his Bumblebee and Optimus Prime transformers. They will keep me company and protect me. LOL.
I really want a peanut butter cookie for breakfast... But I have none. :-(
chalupa! Peru, I want to go there really bad. It is on my short list.
My stupid fitbit isn't syncing. It thought I walked 11 steps yesterday. I also use it as an alarm and I woke up naturally at 5:45. 15 minutes to late to hit my yoga class so I tried the new 8-9 class. It gave me 45 minutes to get ready for work. I showered but must not have rinsed all the conditioner out of my hair. I look like an otter. So now I have a pony tail today.
note: i have no fixed my fitbit. reboot, reinstall and reboot my iphone.
Oh, you know what else I did yesterday? BOOKED OUR FLIGHTS AND HOTELS FOR PERU. If you can't tell, I am so freaking excited. Also, I have just over 4 months to get in better shape to hike the Inca Trail.
The altitude is killer. Find a place to leave everything you won't need on the trail (to be picked up later) and carry as light a load as possible. This is my advice. You will love it. It's amazing.
For all of the allergy ladies. You can now buy prescription strength flonase over the counter. It is about one billion times better than any pill. Squirt it up your nose and feel like a normal person again.

We'll be there with 4 days prior to adjust to altitude before we hike, the hotel will hold all our luggage until we check back in again, and we hired a porter to carry everything we don't need during the day
You will go up to 14000 ft on the hike IIRC. It's a lot! The porter will help so much. I struggled with my bag. And my blisters. Oh, the blisters. I left my shoes in Lima on the way home.

I use all the things together. Flonase up my nose and allergy pills with the decongestant in them. Better living through drugs! Seriously though...I'm miserable if I don't.
