Does anyone use this? It's supposed to be a base for eye products but in certain colors can also act like eye shadow.
I've actually had this in Peach in my possession for many months, but it's *so* peachy that I used it once and put it away for warmer weather. Today I pulled it back out and love it. I used way too much and learned the hard way that it's insanely pigmented, but I managed to tone it down with a couple ColourPop shadows. It gives me a "glowing" eye look that I really like. I can't wait to see what it looks like when I use a normal amount of product. Does anyone have any other color and, if so, what do you think?
I have both and like both. The 5-in-1 has shimmer while the Laura Mercier doesn't. I can't speak to the Linen color but Peach is definitely brightening; the 5-in-1 also brightens, although I haven't tried the darker colors and assume they don't.
You get more product from LM for the money than you do with the 5-in-1, and yesterday I found it for $23.40 at Nordstrom (versus $26 at Sephora), which means you would get even better value there.
*(I accidentally smeared too much of this on and tried to sheer it out a bit, hence the much larger swatch)
ETA: The Blushing Pink shade has the rather odd quality of not showing its shimmer until after it sets. You can't see any shimmer in this photo and I didn't see any when I took the photo, but now that I have let it set on my arm for 10 minutes or so, the shimmer is quite apparent. Unfortunately, I can't take a photograph with my phone that actually shows the shimmer.
I actually read that about the bareminerals shades. I think they all do the shimmer appearing when it sets thing. I grabbed one of each. I want the bareminerals for SPF in the summer. It's safe on my eyelid and spf 15. I don't think I have anything that does that. Lol.
