She's an MUA from Sweden or somewhere. And she does some really cool looks, and her videos are in Swedish (or whatever language), so they're kind of hypnotizing!
This is like the time my BFF's Finnish roommate dressed up for Halloween as "an African American."
Is she trying to show what colors would look good on a darker skin tone? Weird.
Pretty much. This is what she responded with when someone commented on her blog about it.
Hi Sara! This is the same thing as if I had done a makeup on a woman/man with a dark skintone. This is just for education, for you, and for me. I love to learn, and to teach others. And as me, myself, have a fair skintone, my blog is all about the same skintone all the time, and I think that's kind of boring, and I want everybody to feel involved, every skintone, every skintype, and so on. So why should it be racist? Have a great sunday

OMG, just get a dark skinned model. I have pigmentation issues and dark lips and lids. A makeup tutorial on a pale person wearing excessive bronzer is not going to educate me, lol.
No, just no. I feel like she is trying to channel this "look" to be like the young Afghan girl from the cover of National Geographic. Just the way she has the scarf places on top of her head alludes to that from my point of view. Which is just so so so wrong.

That's the first image that came to my mind. Lady, no. You are not recreating the most famous photo in all the world of a haunted woman in a war-torn country so you can show off some new eyeshadows. No.
