Not sure if anyone else saw this, but the UK registered traveler program is now open up to people holding a UK visa (tier 2 dependents now qualify too) and a passport from the US, Canada or a few other countries.
You don't have to fill out the landing card anymore and can use the UK epassport lanes at most of the London area airports and Eurostar.
It costs £70 the first year then £20 every year you want to keep it valid. I signed up for it on a Thursday morning, received my preliminary pre-approval 2 days later and then did my "interview" (she literally asked how often I left the country and to see my visa) the next time I went through Heathrow. I got the card on the spot.
