We're just doing swim lessons this fall (they'll be 2 at the end of August). DD would probably like some type of music/dance class, but I think she'd have more fun next year when she's a little older and better able to follow along.
We did some mommy and me for awhile (gymboree and gymnastics), but tried gymnastics where I waited outside. She did a lot better after she turned 3. At 2 1/2 she had issues following the teacher , but she's a bit of a wild child. We did swimming over the summer.
Most dance studios start at 3 I found. We're starting combo dance (ballet/tap) next month. I just spent $60 on shoes and tights. Le sigh.

DD did a YMCA class called Junior Jumpers this past "school" year when she was 18 months - 2 years old. It was in the gymnastics gym where they had soft ramps to roll/summersault down, tunnels to crawl through, balls to play with, etc. They learned to hang on the uneven bars and use the floor-level balance beam. They also did circle time with songs at the beginning and end of each class. DD loved it.
She also did swimming lessons, which at this age was mostly playing in the pool and working on being comfortable in the water.
We just signed him up for Kindergym, and I am considering the soccer class at his daycare. He is super super physical (duh, 2 yo boy) and I know he'd love it.
We've been in gymnastics since DD was 13 mos old (the Mommy & Me kind), and she loves it - she's 26 mos now. We are doing another round of swim lessons this fall, now that she's past 2 and they will actually start teaching her something. We do a drop-in music class a lot, and we *might* do a dance class, but it's through the same rec system as gymnastics and most say it's really close to the gymnastics class, so we may end up waiting until she's 3.
We're going to an open house for a gymnastics place down the street. I'd like her to do it in the fall. One hour a week for 6-8 weeks is about her speed.
