DD has the unfortunate habit of picking scabs as she's falling asleep. If it gets bad enough I put a band-aid on it to remind her not to pick. She hasn't had one needing a band-aid in several months and over the weekend she got a booboo on her cheek so I put a band-aid on it. This morning I took the band-aid off and it's all blistered and red where the adhesive was. This was a box labeled no latex, so I'm not sure what it could be from. I feel like just a few months ago we used the exact same box and there was no reaction.
Of course I'm calling the pediatrician this morning.
Any experience? What do I use when she gets her next booboo? Should I test on her back?

As part of my job I have to check in on allergies (always ask if kids have any food, medication, environmental, or contact allergies) and allergies to bandaid adhesive comes up pretty commonly. I'm not sure if there are different kinds, etc for you to avoid. If it's really just stuff she's picking as she's falling asleep, I would think of wrapping it in an old-school bandage with clip or putting on a long sleeved shirt or pants or whatever if it's on her body.
