being pregnant... and it's starting to become obvious. :-|
I am 18 weeks, definitely starting to show, and can't really wear my regular clothes anymore...
When my school let out for summer, I was only about 9 weeks, so i didn't want to tell anyone until i was at least 12 weeks. We started professional development 3 weeks ago, I signed my contract 1 week ago, but I still haven't received my copy of the contract back, signed by the superintendent of our school, so i'm kind of waiting to get that back before I tell my principal and other teachers.
But I feel like now I'm getting to the point that it's going to be awkward that we've been here a month and I haven't said anything to anyone yet.
What would you do/ How should I go about telling my boss in particular?
one one one, in person meeting. "hi, boss, i'm pregnant. i'm due on X. right now, i plan for my last day to be X. here's my plan for the ways i'm going to transition my work and when."

I worked with a woman who was five months along before she told and it was so so obvious. She'd had a loss before and I think was scared to tell people and then have to untell.
When you get your contract I'd sit down with your boss and just say hey, its probably already obvious but I'm having a baby this date, let me know when you have time and want to chat about my leave. Its your own business when you want to tell your employer.
I asked my boss for a private meeting. When we met, I just said, "I need to arrange some extended time off for this summer because I'm pregnant. I'm due at the end of June."
After that was done, I found my friend at work who like to gossip and told her. That was my cowards way out because I hate making announcements. I told her I was fine with people knowing, and she started throwing it into conversations here and there.
