My parents have a weekend place about 45mins from my house, and we go there a lot - pretty much every weekend. I used to keep dupes of everything I used there, but then I brought it all home when the house was remodeled and things have been used up, I've switched products, etc.
My question is this - what things would you leave there to avoid dragging them back and forth so often? Shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, razor and a toothbrush are pretty much all I have there now. That's probably all I really need to bother using, but I still drag a full makeup bag, another bag w/ skincare, manicure stuff (which I really need to plan better and just do that during the week), my good dryer (b/c I hate the one at the lake) - I just can't get out of the habit of hauling all this crap around.
Help me figure out what I REALLY need, so I can just throw a couple of sundresses, bra, undies and a bathing suit in a bag and be on my way.
I wouldn't want to re-buy everything, so I'd probably just decant some of my skincare stuff into travel bottles and leave some nail care things there too. I would definitely buy a new hairdryer to keep there, since those take up a ton of space in a bag.
Instead of leaving it there can you do like previous poster mentioned and keep a fully stocked and packed makeup bag. That way you can throw it in the bag for the weekend trip but if you go on vacation anywhere else it's all ready packed and ready to go.

As far as makeup, probably just concealer and mascara, or whatever it is that's your minimal makeup.
Drugstore face wash and lotion.
Why not keep a bottle of nailpolish remover and a few polishes out there? That's a relaxing weekend thing for me.
And ETA one thing: is there a hair product that you can use instead of a blowdryer? Like wave spray or something where it air dries nicely? Then you'd also be giving your hair a break as well.
I leave razors, toothpaste, nail polish remover and cotton balls, qtips for cleaning my ears, contact solution and contact case, and body wash and lotion at my parents' houses (both of them, they're divorced). my sisters use the shampoo and conditioner and face wash my parents keep on hand but my hair and face are too finicky for that. so other than the items in the first sentence, I bring everything else as if I'm going on a trip somewhere--travel size or decant. when I go to my dad's house, I pack my makeup as if going on a trip. when I go to my mom's, I bring my own foundation and concealer and mascara, then just use her makeup.
