who's good with false eyelashes?
I'm trying, but when I do them I always seem to end up with a visible line between the line of the lashes and my natural lash line. Do I just fill that in with liner, even if I don't want that thick a line? Am I just sucky at application and need to try harder?
Who's got a good method? Who's got good tutorials for me to watch online?
Thank you! I was meeting a friend for lunch and she walked in just as I was trying to reply.
Which eyelashes and glue (brands) are you using. Some are harder to work with. I wait about 20-30 seconds after I apply the glue for it to get slightly tacky. Then I apply them right on my lash line/basically right on the base of my eyelashes. I just use my fingers and I start by aligning the outer corners first then guide the strip as I move inward. Be sure to pay close attention at the inner corner as it can lift if it's not 100% secure and it will look silly/feel even worse. Once I know they are in the perfect position (you can't adjust them much because the glue is tacky) I hold down the inner and outer corners for a few seconds to make sure they're on there good. I don't always wear eyeliner with them but if I do, I'll do eyeliner first - then lashes- then a small touch up on the band to conceal.
Another tip is if you're using a brand new pair, wiggle the band around a bit to break it in or the stiffness can cause them to lift in the corners.
ETA: This (very old Kandee) video demonstrates what I mean by "wiggle the band" lol. Starts at 2:20. The rest of this video is painful to watch lol.

Yes, this is my biggest tip! Applying dark eyeliner first helps conceal if there is a space between the lash line and fake lashes. Also, cut them (from the outside corners) to the correct length. Most fakes are too long (in width, not length) for my lashline!
I hold the lashes with tweezers so that I can place them right on my lash line. I place the inner corner first, then the outer corner, then the middle.
