my H never got his blood type tested when we found out we were pregnant... i'm sure they tested mine at the beginning, but im not sure what it was... and i didnt have any problems with the pregnancy.
No difficulties, but had to make sure I received the rhogam shot at 28 weeks and after delivery with both boys. Other than some high blood pressure, I was fine.

It's any pregnant woman who is Rh negative. Many doctors will give you the shot midway through pregnancy and again after delivery. During birth there's blood from you and possibly the baby, and there is concern that your blood could develop a response to Rh+ blood that was mixed during your first delivery. Then if you get pregnant again, your body could attack the pregnancy. The Rhogam shot prevents the aggressive response.
We knew my H was Rh negative (from donating blood), so he stopped by the OB's lab and was typed. They let me waive the Rhogam shot after I swore that I was certain H was the father of my child. Two Rh negative people can't make an Rh positive baby.
