Ill be running the NJ full in 2016. Im running the half tomorrow (my 5th time, it was my first ever HM), its super cheap to reigster at the expo. I figured why not.
Eek.
Eta: 9th if i do a h&f gtg full between now and then.
So exciting! It seems crazy to think that lots of us who have done 5+ marathons were around on the board before training for our first! I was thinking "holy shit, 8 marathons is a lot!" And then I remembered that I am registered for my 7th. I think marathons are like tattoos? (I don't actually have any tattoos, but my understanding is that once you have one, you want all the tattoos.)

I'm pretty sure I remember when al320 was in the no marathons camp. Glad she was swayed since she is darn good at them.

Yes, exactly! I ran my first ever full MILE in 2008! Crazy.

Love it! I spent the morning with my running group, so we were taking about all of the races!! I have my eye on Santa Rosa in 2016. DH might do Savannah again in November (BQ attempt). I'm on the fence. On one hand, I don't want to get burnt out before training for Boston, on the other hand, I'd love to give sub-3:25 a shot, and Savannah would be a great course for that.
I'm only registered for my third at this point, but I was honestly contemplating where I'd do #4 yesterday. Do I do Houston again? Do I try to do the RnR New Orleans? And then I started researching fast, flat spring marathon courses for 2016. It's an addiction, really.

This is so true. I remember a lot of us doing our first -- the nerves and doubt and craziness. Now the numbers are really starting to add up. And others are doing their first and we cheer and the cycle continues. We are a strange little bunch.
Nice!! I'm trying to figure out what I want #10 to be (I don't count my 50K or ironman in my marathon total). I'm just not sure when I will be back up to that kind of distance...

Yay! I will spectate the crap out of Santa Rosa if you're there!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
