Harry Truman, Walt Disney, and Mark Twain?
They're in the Hall of Famous Missourians!
My favorite part is that they kept the ceremony a secret.
JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau native and conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is now a member of the Hall of Famous Missourians.
Missouri House Speaker Steven Tilley selected Limbaugh for the honor and held the induction ceremony at 1 p.m.
Tilley, a Perryville native, actually kept the time of the ceremony a secret until just before it happened in hopes of avoiding a public spectacle for the event.
Several groups had criticized Limbaugh's induction because of several recent comments Limbaugh made about women and other current events.
As a member of the Hall of Famous Missourians, Limbaugh will have a bronze bust on display at the Capitol along side president Harry Truman, Mark Twain, and Walt Disney.
If they don't particularly care what people are actually famous for, then it fits. But I'd like to think they'd skip honoring people who are just famous for being assholes.
