I ran a total of 12.91 miles, but if I also include elliptical workouts, biking, and walking, I did 42 miles. Since I've had nonstop shin splint problems since March, I've cut way back on running but make up for it in other ways. I don't remember what my goal was for April. I think I set it pretty low for just running knowing that I've been having issues.
Shin splints are the worst. Sorry you are struggling with them.
I did 33 miles so far. Goal was 40, which I should make as long as I complete my planned runs tomorrow and Thursday.
I ran a 5k over the weekend. It was the best 2 mile run of my life, then the entire last mile was uphill and I blew it. apparently planning my training runs to avoid steep hills is not great prep for racing. Something to work on before the next race!

Good job everyone! I still have a couple more runs but as of today--- I'm at 173 miles. I wanted 200 but took 2 longer runs off. As long as I'm over my min per month for my 2000 tho, I'm happy
My running is at a dismal 16.8. So so sad. I do CrossFit as well so I'm getting other workouts in but I'm sad about how little I ran! I wasn't feeling it this month but then I did an easy 6 miles yesterday and it rejuvenated me. I'm ready to start running longer distances again. For awhile getting to 4 miles in one run was rough mentally.
Not running since my pelvic floor is still not strong enough.
However, since I got my dog on Apr 2, I've been walking an average of 5.5 miles per day (about 11,600 steps/day on my Garmin). So, I've walked about 133 miles in 25 days.

I am not tracking mileage but I have been pretty consistently doing 30 mins three times a week. Once I get in a bit of better shape I may throw in some body pump classes and extend the runs. Baby steps for now though.
I have a half in May. My 16.8 for this month isn't cutting it. I will try some longer distances this weekend. Hopefully I'll be in the right state of mind to get in 10.
My goal this month is 40 miles. Currently at 31 miles. I think I'll be able to hit 40 this week.
I ran my first 5k race of the year last week - felt great and achieved my 2nd fastest time yet. I think I will be able to achieve a new 5k pr this year!
That's amazing! I have always loved the idea of running but hated the execution of it. I did run a quarter of a block accidently last week thinking my cat had gotten out
LOL to the bolded!!
I love the idea of running, too. I want it to be "my thing". The thing that gets me out of the house, the thing I do when I'm stressed out. Something I can do alone, when it's quiet. I do think as my weight goes down, the shin splints might start to let up. I've been putting a lot of stress on my joints being overweight. I did get new shoes and they've seemed to help. I'm easing back into it, hoping I'm ready for my 5K in June.
freedom Yup. It was my third or fourth time completing it, this time was at my absolute heaviest weight. I was really proud of myself for finishing the program again and not dying/breaking a bone/blowing out my knee or something. I've lost 44 pounds since January and attribute a lot of that to doing C25K. I could barely handle 60 seconds when I started running in January, and in eight weeks I was running three miles. I have a little less than 40 more pounds to lose, hoping if I can get through the Couch to 10K program, the other half might melt off as quickly as the first.

You are doing great!!! I love hearing c25k success stories!!!

This happened to me! I started out this past October unable to even run 1.5 miles straight. The first time I ran a 5k I thought I'd seriously injured myself because of how much pain I was in from shin splints. Losing the weight made a huge difference wrt to joint pain. It's hardly noticeable unless I really overdo my weekly mileage.
ETA: I had forgotten my monthly total, I beat my 150 mile goal by 12 and I've gotten my 1.5 mile down to 11:02

I'm at 86 walking and 83 running. I had a half saturday which I PRed and placed but it was a small race lol. I'm slow. It was also my first half to not have any walk breaks, even for water. I was happy.
I will get up to over 100 this month I think. I'm tapering for my full so my mileage is down a little.

I'm joining in. Hi.
I was finally cleared from my D&C on the 16th. This week I got in 4 runs and a nice easy 4 miler yesterday.
I started C25k again to use as speed work (walking parts as easy run, running parts as goal pace) trying to get a 5k under 30.
After the holidays and winter, being put on pelvic rest in early Feb and then the m/c and then the D&C, it's been a long time since I've been able to run consistently. It feels really good to be back out there.

I didn't keep complete track but I did run the 10 mile Cherry Blossom and did a 4 mile race this Saturday and a few other 3 mile casual runs. I haven't set a specific number of miles goal but instead I'm trying to make sure I train for my races and have been slacking. I have a 10k this Sunday so we will see how that goes.
I'm still trying to learn to run, and today I jogged for 20 minutes without stopping. I've been working up to it for the last month. I started C25K a year and a half ago (was only able to do it for a few weeks the first summer and a month or so last summer) and could only run 30 seconds at a time. Now I need to work on speed.
I should hit 55 for the month. I've been focusing more on shorter and faster runs, adding in intervals which I've never done before. I'll work on distance again once I'm done with the bikini body workout!

I love running from about minute eleven on.
The first ten minutes of any run, I hate running. I'm thinking, "Why is this my hobby. I hate this. Running is awful. Auughh." After that, I'm like, "I can run forever!"
I never thought I could be a runner, as I have always been "fat girl" - but somehow I've gotten good at it? I ran four miles today, and it wasn't even that hard. If you told two-years-ago me that I would be running four miles like it was nothing, I'd laugh hysterically. But now, I love my new shoes, and I love my running clothes. I got a new fanny pack thingy to hold my phone and keys and some bluetooth headphones. I get in my zone and everything's alright.
Have a HM on Sunday (my first, whee). With the last training runs tonight and tomorrow, I'll be around 58 miles for April. I can't wait for the post-race rest week. Hoping I can keep up 10-15miles/wk after the race for a good base later this year.
