I've gotten US Weekly, Cosmopolitan and now Money I've never ordered any and I don't receive a bill.
Do you think I have a secret admirer that sends magazines instead of flowers or are they trying to sucker me into subscribing or get their circulation numbers up?

I've gotten Rolling Stone in the past when I have purchased concert tickets. One of my old coworkers ordered from delias.com and ended up with a year subscription to Seventeen (she is 35!).

I get US Weekly too! It started a year and a half ago around my birthday, but I couldn't find anyone who gifted it to me. It's a 4 year subscription, so not ending anytime soon! And it makes me feel so old because I seriously don't know who half the people are on it! I also get Weight Watchers and Fitness and I have never paid for either of those either. 99% of the time they just go right into the recycling bin. Its so wasteful.

I've been getting Black Enterprise. Considering I am neither Black nor an entrepreneur, I have no idea how that happened. I tried to call and cancel but they were never open when I was free, so meh.

Lol about Seventeen. I'm 40 and that's how I feel about getting Cosmo, not exactly their target demo!
I got Teen Vogue about a month ago. I called and found out I got a free subscription when I bought something from Asos. Ironically I had ordered maternity clothes. I told the customer service rep to please cancel my free subscription because I am in my 30s and have no interest in receiving Teen Vogue.

Yes.
Once you get a subscription for one magazine in a company, they will send you similar ones, in hopes that you'll get the subscription. I got Rachel Ray for about a year without ordering it, and also Latina, though I'm not Latino. I guess subscribing to Essence was close enough for them to send it to me.

You can look online at your "account" by going to the magazine website and looking up your subscription with your name and address. Might give you a clue about how it started (sometimes they list a promotional offer that initiated your subscription, or whatever).

We thought we were getting Playboy for free for awhile but found out after a few months that BIL got H a subscription as a joke. H retaliated by sending him a subscription of Cat Fancy or something lol.
Yes! I currently get Women's Health, Glamour, and Martha Stewart Living, none of which I subscribe to.
Martha Stewart Living and Glamour came out of the blue; Women's Health came after I got a letter saying "We think you'll enjoy Women's Health so we're giving you a free subscription."
I've tried to unsubscribe from Glamour several times but they will not stop sending me issues.

Yes we do. We get Rolling Stone, some type of hunting magazine, some sort of motor cross one, forbes, money, ESPN. I've narrowed some of them down to buying tickets through ticketmaster. The hunting and motor cross one I have no effing clue why we get those. I give them to my younger cousin. I read the Forbes and Money and then they go into the trash. It's very wasteful.
Yes! I have gotten BH&G for over a year, which I like, and I used to get W too, which annoyed me because it was so large and I never even looked at it. I thought they were a gift from someone who had forgotten to let us know. Then this year I started getting Sports Illustrated. I called them up to ask WTF and they said it was a reward for buying stuff on Wayfair. I asked them to please stop sending it, since I just throw it out, but it keeps coming.
I was getting a bunch of free magazines (mostly home related ones). I went online and changed my address to the local nursing home then called my friend who works there and told her about it. She makes sure that they get into their library where residents can enjoy if they wish.
haha it's probably from me. lol. I always redeem my AA points for magazines but it won't accept Canadian addresses so I use an American address then change after a month. I normally use a recent hotel I stayed at though.
I randomly started getting Vanity Fair. I was all WTF? So I emailed them to ask why I am getting it. I got it for free when I made a purchase from Way.fair.com

My husband randomly just got better homes and gardens yesterday. He did not sign up for it and was seriously perplexed. I did buy some stuff with his paypal recently, so maybe that's what happened.
I get about 6 magazines in Spanish each month. I think it is because my last name when I was married to my first husband was very Hispanic (he is Venezuelan). I never ordered them and they still come 3 years later.
