How fun! I'd like to do an adult tap class and I'd even participate in the year end recital. Knowing me, I'll one day be one of those Dancing Grannies.

I'm going to hint around to the owner of Lucy's school that I want an adult class. All they have for the moms is Zumba. I just hope that a lot of the moms who were in the company themselves wouldn't join. I fully anticipate sucking

I need to call tomorrow to see if the require adults to wear leotards. I hope they do but don't want to be the only person in one.
If it's at a ballet studio, then yes, they'll probably require a leotard, tights. If it's community ed, a place that offeres other types of dance, or not specifically a ballet studio, then there's probably more leeway.
I take ballet at a ballet studio and we're required to wear a leo (black), either black or pink tights, and either black or pink ballet shoes. We also have to have our hair in a bun lol!
I'm taking classes at my local ballet's studio. We aren't required to wear leotards. I wear the tights and shorts from Hoots, tank/shirt and ballet shoes. I was a dancer in for 15 years and it's been nice to get back into it.
My posture has already improved through the 2 classes I went to last week.
