And it was really nice.
I posted on here back in the day about not being a "baby" person per se. I love kids, but I like babies when their like 1-2 years old, (so more toddler stage really) newborns aren't my favorite stage.
And even though this little guy I was around today wasn't a newborn by any stretch, he's still technically a baby-baby, and I really thought he was the nicest smelling, most cuddly sweetheart of a bug I'd seen in ages.
Kind of made me wistful, really, which I take as a good sign; DH and I are definitely taking the right steps in our lives right now. Yippee!
Yeah, I sat in a waiting room yesterday with a mom and newborn for about half an hour. Baboy couldn't have been more than about 2 weeks old. I can't help but think that newborns look like aliens, and I too am a little worried about the "floppy" stage (great description!). But I know you gotta go through that stage:-)

When my nephew was born they wrapped him up like a burrito. It made it a lot easier to move around with him, without his head flopping. I'll have to make sure they show me how to do that!
