I have to work night shift all weekend so I'm hoping to live vicariously through you all. I am participating in a retirement tomorrow before work that I'm super psyched about though. It's for an O and there will be some pretty important people there.
ETA: Aparently I also have a funeral on Saturday. Here's to no sleep and racking up more stuff for my eval I suppose.
DS1 has a classmate's birthday party and we have H's squadron's family picnic. The church up the street is having their annual block party on Wednesday with free food and bounce castles. We always end up going because the kids see it and get super excited about it. The church itself makes me squicky, but I tolerate standing outside of a bounce castle in their parking lot, lol

I think I might be taking A to see some flower fields. But otherwise mostly staying home because I'm trying to not be a lazy butthole parent about the whole potty learning thing.
H's office is being inspected today, tomorrow, Monday, and Tursday. So he'll be working. As usual. He got home at midnight last night and was gone at 0630.
So, I'll take the dogs for a trail walk and get them ice cream. Big excitement at the Stan house.
You mean like dog ice cream? That exists? (As a cat owner I have no knowledge of this)
M's Dad thought a great time to visit us in our 3 years here would be the damn month before we PCS so we're spending the weekend cleaning out the monster that is our guest bedroom. It's been collecting everything under the sun for past year so that's gonna be fun! I'll need to go to the Shoppette to stock up on booze for his visit...he doesn't drink.
We have to run to the tailor's to pick up M's new blues for the ball and I'm hoping to do a little shopping while we're in the area.
I'm going to Disney on Saturday. It's to celebrate my niece's bday. H is not going but I'll have my sister to help with baby. And let's be real. She'll prob help more than him at times lol. Not because h isn't helpful. But. She's done this already.
I'll also be reviewing resumes. I got promoted at work and my supervisor handed me a stack of resumes to review to call people for interviews. I am not even officially in the new position yet and have gotten a ton of paperwork to do lol.

Tonight we're going to dinner and the movies with some friends who are PCSing soon. Outside of that nothing much. It will be a gorgeous weekend here, so I'll probably get a walk in with the pups and maybe enjoy some time in my hammock out back.

Congrats dude!
Thanks! It's gonna mean a lot more paperwork. But. Good for my resume!

I gotta say gonor guard is totally worth my lack of sleep. The retirement was really great but the funeral almost brought me to tears. The deceased had done 27 years, the church was standing room only, some really amazing things were said about him, and it was all around beautiful. Honor guard is considered one of the most difficult and crappy collateralls at the command but it's worth it to be able to bring honor to vets and their families like that. It just warms my heart and I had to share that with you all. I wish we could convince more people to do it.

Dh was home this weekend. He left for another two weeks this morning. We spent early Saturday with my grandpa and then drove up to E's parents and stayed for the night and came home yesterday. We sold our truck to E's dad and so it was nice to get more garage space! My new car fits so much better now.
This week will be grading and Daily Method in the evenings and trying to keep my seniors on task. 5 more weeks!
