OK Well I will stop driving you all crazy...
We are officially going to HAWAII!!!

We are doing 12 nights ....7 nights on Maui at the Wailea Beach Marriot
and 4 nights at the Aqua Lotus on Oahu

Now I can stop 2nd guessing and enjoy the research and excitement for my big birthday trip.

I am happy to hear that you chose Oahu, at least. We stayed at the Aqua Bamboo there, which was cheap but surprisingly decent. We were so busy in Oahu, any clean place to sleep would have been great.

If you plan to do a lot of sight-seeing, Costco sells a "Go Oahu" card. It worked out to be well worth the money for us. We used it for: snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, Germaine's Luau, full island tour, Honolulu city tour, and Pearl Harbor. (ETA - transportation was inlcuded in all of the excursions, picked up directly from our hotel. We did not rent a car, and didn't feel like we missed out. The tours did an excellent job for the amount of time we had, and parking was scarce and expensive).

That's the perfect amount of time on each island. Be sure to rent a car on both islands and be sure o drive to the North Shore on Oahu.

The Lotus is cool. It used to be the W. I mean, I've only walked by, but Ws are cool, and it's a quiet part, but still in walking distance of Waikiki and also right at my favorite Hon side swim beach (Kaimana). You'll have a great time.

Oh, I didn't realize that's what it's called now, but I've stayed there (after it was a W but before it was a Lotus). It's nice! You can also usually find free parking around the park.

I know...im usually so not like this when planning trips
I guess because my heart was set on italy and we can not do it because of my back issues that it made me not sure on anywhere else.

we go in march over easter break.
