I know there are a couple of ladies who are going to Disney soon with their little ones so I thought I would give you all a report of our vacation. We just got home a couple of hours ago and I've already started on the mound of laundry.
We had a an awesome time. We had 5 days in the parks and honestly, I think that is enough time to get everything done. We were able to go on all of the popular rides (even the mine train that usually an 80 minute wait). We also met Anna and Elsa (thank you fastpass!). Wednesday we went to Magic Kingdom and the crowds were very low and we were able to just hop on rides. Also we got a lot of meet and greets out of the way.
We usually stay at the Port Orleans resort, but my ILs picked the Contemporary and I have to say that I might be converted to the deluxe resorts. It was so nice not having to wait for buses all the time.
One little tip is if you are looking for some great entertainment at night then I suggest going to the United Kingdom pavilion in Epcot and there is a great band that plays at night. We usually don't spend a lot of time in Epcot because DD thinks it's boring, but we just happened upon this place. Plus, it has the cutest English garden maze.
Glad you had a blast! We went mid-April and had a ton of fun. The fast passes really helped and a lot of the lines were less than 15 minutes too. DS already wants to go back.
That sounds awesome!! I love Disney trips so much. When I was single and early married I was all about the Vegas trips and didn't care about Disney. Now I'm the opposite. Did you visit all the parks? Post some pictures. :-)
Thanks for the report! We want to take DS to one of the parks before he enters kindergarten. I've never been to Disney World. People talk as if you need a really long stay so it's good to hear 5 days was enough.
satsuma, I think 3 days was enough, but we didn't go to every park. Magic Kingdom is the best for that age, but my DS really liked Epcot too. We also did animal kingdom but I'm not super impressed by that park and would skip it whenever we go again next.
