I have been having trouble figuring this out, even with my friend, google.
Our deck is 135x140
I am looking at four possible tables: 60x60 32x63 38x71 42x84
The chairs are 25" deep, plus you need 12" of clearance?? So that means I need 3 feet in all sides of the table, total of 72 inches. This math tells me that the 60x60 would work. But that seems too tight all the way around. There are open steps along one side, railing around two sides and the fourth side is against the house.
What is the 12" clearance you're talking about? Juno is pretty much on target. 4ft is about minimum for workabe passage around a table.
Thanks. I was thinking 3 feet (2 feet for the chair + 12" of space to get into the chair). No one will be walking around the table, as the stair side is open and that's where we'll be serving food from. I just need people to be able to get into and out of their chairs. But that just seems too tight. hmmm. If we do 4' clearance, that will only allow a 3x3 table, which won't do us much good...
