No, I don't know how he didn't know that, but he didn't. Even after I told him he watched some MitM and said he never would have figured it out. I don't get it.

I didn't know originally, but I never watched MitM, except maybe one episode years ago, so I had nothing to compare to. When I heard, though, I was just like "Hm, yeah, I guess he is." and that was it. H actually sat there, genuinely flabbergasted (best word I could think of to describe it)
