I'd love to venture out and see a little bit of Charleston on Sunday. I've only been there once, and that was more than 10 years ago. There are a few people with cars, so maybe there will be a group who wants to venture out, and a group who wants to stay and chill at the house? All 28 of us don't need to do the same thing, right? If someone renting a car wants to go out on Sunday, I'm definitely up for it.
But my "going out" clothes aren't necessarily going to be fancy... lol.
So, what's the verdict on going out at all? Do I need to pack 'leaving the house' clothes?
This. Verdict for brunch on Sunday?
I think the verdict was that it was too difficult to find a place for so many of us. I just looked online for smaller parties (4-6 people) and none of the go-to places (Husk, Poogan's Porch, Macintosh) have any availability this close to the weekend.

I would highly recommend that those who haven't been to Charleston venture out on Sunday. It's an amazing city and the race route does not do it justice. It's a fun city just to wander around in -- and it sounds like the weather will be beautiful.
Yes, if you haven't been to Charleston before, venture out and explore! Wander the streets, read about the history, walk in and out of shops. I bet you can even find a fun place to have a later lunch (once the brunch crowd has left). I would guess that the chaos will die down a but after brunch, when I assume the majority of the race people will be heading home.

I would definitely be interested in exploring the city!

Me too! I'd also be interested in a self-planned 5k recovery run on Monday morning for those not flying out until the afternoon.
I would like to run Monday morning, and I'll be waaaay behind both of you.
Pssh, whatever!
When I say 'run' I really mean jog, just to shake the legs pre-flight. Speed not important. If we can't chat, we're going too fast. The point is just to get some fresh air, mostly.
I vote buying food for Sunday breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, etc.
champagne, orange juice...
As Type A OCD as I am in real life, I have ZERO PLANS for this weekend trip. I will do whatever, go wherever, do whatever y'all need me to do. I am going to go wtih the flow. Sleep in and lay around all day? Fine. Take a tour of Charleston? Peachy. Day Drink regardless? YUP.

I am an effing CHAMPION at sitting around and drinking wine.

YES! That's the best thing about this trip. Heck, I may not even get out of bed on Sunday. Maybe if I smell bacon I will.
