I am thinking about doing a Whole30 for me it would be an extremely drastic diet change. So my questions are:
1. Can I gradually work my way into it? Take a couple weeks to start incorporating the principles and wait to go full out until I get a hang of what is aloud/isn't. Or would it be better to just go full blast from the get go?
2. Is Pasta an okay food?
3. Do I need to read the book or is the info on the website enough to get me through?
4. If the book is a must, does anyone have a used copy they want to sell?
1. I think "easing" into it misses the point. It's basically an elimination diet. So, going slow isn't really going to help. Go full out.
2. Nope. No grains (corn, wheat, oats, etc.) or pseudo-grains (like quinoa)
3. I just used the website.
Honestly, the biggest thing for me was the pre-planning which you *can* start in advance. I thought of a bunch of W30-friendly lunches & dinners ahead of time. Some of these were tweaks to existing recipes we do (like, doing spaghetti squash instead of pasta w/ my homemade tomato sauce) and others were totally new. In addition to prepping things for the week on the weekend, doing that helped me stick to it when I would be all "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO EAT!!"
