DS is 4 weeks. I went to bed at 10:30 and left a bottle for DH to give DS around 12:30. DH brings him into our room after the midnight feeding. I just woke up at 4:30 (hallelujah for sleep!). DS was stirring, so I got him up and changed him. His diaper was not wet and barely poopy. This is very unusual. I just looked in the fridge and he only ate about 3oz. This is also unusual. He usually eats 4-4.5. He ate well, but for a short amount of time, just now and is back down.
He did eat a ton this afternoon and evening, so maybe that's impacting things? I'm just worried about the lack of a wet diaper in 4ish hours. Am I overreacting?
I wouldn't worry about it but would just make sure his next few diapers are normal.
Did you DH by chance change him after giving him the bottle? It seems like my kids always pee while getting the bottle so if you change them right after they get it there usually isn't much in there at the next diaper change.

I wouldn't worry about it. Between growth spurts there may be some down times when they are a little less hungry. And sometimes they will just randomly hold their pee longer than you expect. If there is no pee in 4-6 more hours, then I would call the pedi.
Wouldn't be concerned. Starting about that time, Pippa would only wake up wet/poopy about 2/3 days and now it's about 1/2 of the time. I hear that makes for easy potty training later, but that might be anecdotal
No. My son stopped pooping at night around that time. He always took 3 ounce bottles so (naturally) 3 ounces sounds fine to me. Just check his output today.
Sounds like a growth spurt. They usually occur around 3 weeks and 6 weeks, according to the books but your son could be on his own schedule. My kids would eat all day like it was their last meal and then the following day I would barely be able to wake them long enough to eat anything at all. I loved growth spurts because my babies were both soooo snugly on those days. If this is what's going on today, snuggle up on the couch with your snugly sleeping baby and watch a good movie.
