C is 36 weeks tomorrow. HOLY SHIT you guys, I'm going to have a real live baby soon.
We have our local shower on Sunday. It should be a lot of fun.
Muddled, honestly there are still times when I'm worried something will go terribly wrong. But we're preparing because there's no denying baby is going to be here soon. How does your H feel about taking the lead on getting stuff ready? It's definitely made me feel more involved in the pregnancy, which has been nice.
I hope your last few weeks go smoothly.
We are making efforts to get things going. He asked if I wanted to go to Ikea this weekend (yikes). He has started a couple spreadsheets and said something similar- that it makes him feel involved. I'm happy for it. I just have to realize that if something is going to happen, it will happen whether we have cleaned out the kid room or not.
I missed this somehow! DS will be nine months on Thursday! Absolute craziness. I gave up pumping at work, because fuck that shit. 2 sessions was getting me all of 3oz and I was supplementing anyway, so why continue to completely ruin my work productivity too? It was the best decision ever. Kiddo is still a teeny peanut, but they are less concerned about "failure to thrive" because his growth is steady (I guess FTT is typically more of a plateau with very slow weight gain), he's just small. He's CRAWLING now which is hilarious because he hasn't quite figured out the coordination of it. He gets frustrated and ends up doing this thing where he clasps his hands like he's praying, and he uses his elbows to pull himself along. It has got to be literally the least efficient way to get around. But it's flippin adorable. Still no teeth! Every few days I'm like oooohp, gotta be tooth time! And nothing. This has been happening for truly the last 5 months. haha
N is one week shy of 11 months. Ack it just hit me that we better get on the ball about planning his birthday party. We sleep trained him in April (Hallelujah), he slept well until 2 weeks ago when he had his first cold which led to bronchiolitis (poor guy). Now he's 100% back to his old self (yay), but we have to sleep train him all over again (poo). He says mama, dada, and nana and loves to play imitation games and peekaboo. He's a little ball of energy with the most infectious laugh.
Super late to this thread.. The boys are now 5 months old and so fun. They're so different and look so different too (although they look a lot alike in this pic) . DS1 is super chill (on the left) and sweet and is a naturally good sleeper and DS2 has tons of personality and is a mostly happy baby but not so hot in the sleep department, so we're working on that. He's already rolling onto and from his tummy so we've transitioned to a zipadee zip sleeping bag and he seems happier.
I'm still nursing and pumping but I don't make enough for both so we use formula to supplement and I've made my peace with that. I do have to take domperidone to maintain my supply though.
persa C is in a zipadeezip too. Thank God for that thing, or we would never sleep. He was still swaddled at night when he started rolling over, and refused to sleep in a normal sleep sack. We're outgrowing the small size, so I just ordered two more in medium
