Been there done that (well without the poop streak). I'm such a freak that I always watch their butts when they poop to be sure there are no straggles. If there are I have to tell them "Finish it!" They know.

Every now and then I've had to go in for the assist. That's not fun at all, but it is better than poop streaks on the furniture. +o(

I used to walk a Shar Pei mix who used to get "danglers." I think Carl has had one, too.

Also, Carl has left a poop streak -- on a white shirt I was wearing!

Call me a freak dog mom, but I literally wipe both of my dogs asses each time they go out, with a non scented baby wipe. I have been doing this for 6 yrs. I also wipe their paws, underbellies, and muzzles. I clean their eye "sleepy seed" out of their eyes, twice daily.

Think me nuts? Sure, but this all happens within less than 3 secs of them entering our house after their walks, and takes me all of 2 minutes.

Yes, I probably take more stock in baby wipes then those with newborns.

I wipe down my pup all the time. She has issues with grass allergies and summer is hard without baby wipes.

I'll join both of you. I'm the same way. H cleans their eye goop every day, but I wipe them down with some doggie wipes every day. Also, I brush their teeth every couple days.
