Joanis- you're the reason I felt SO encouraged to do it!! Your info was seriously invaluable. I was going to go to the same doc and everything haha, he better not retire before I'm done birthing babies!
Well my experience was so positive, so I definitely encourage anyone seriously looking into it for similar reasons to go for it! But I understand why people would want to wait until after kids. I just wanted to enjoy mine a bit before I had kids, haha
When I get mine done I'm going to Joanis' doc too. Plus he's in my hometown so I can recover at my parents' house. Haha!
He's THE BEST!!! I should get a referral fee for all the people I'm sending him, haha
I told you my one friend recommended him too. I don't like her boobs though, but I am sure she wanted them the way she got them, because she is totally satisfied. lol.
He really has been so amazing. Answered all of my questions and is just very warm and friendly in general. I'll definitely go to him when the time comes.
For now, I think I'll order some new swimsuits. If H complains I'll just remind him we're saving thousands of dollars, right? Ha!
My best friend had hers done and had a great experience, great doctor, minimal pain and good recovery.
But after 6 months I asked her what she thought and she said she's never felt so self-conscious. Even though she only went up 2 cup sizes, to a C, and is now proportionate she feels like they make her look big and it's tough for her to exercise. It was sad to hear.
I was surprised, because it seems like most people love theirs. Just another side to the story.
adlove, i think you look great, and you definitely do NOT need it. however, this is a decision that you need to make for yourself and carefully weigh the pros and cons. good luck!
Kids killed my boobs. Seriously, they are flat and floppy and ugly. I will definitely get them fixed. Never thought about it until after I had kids. I can't do it till I get in great shape but I will so do it. I plan to go smaller than I was though and have boobs that don't point down anymore. (they were full but had some life before kids)

I mean this in the nicest way, but you have to do what you want. Not what your h wants. Plus, obviously he loves you the way you are or he wouldn't have maried you:)

I read that as meaning if he complains about her buying more stuff, not complains about her not getting a boob job - but I could be wrong.
Yep! Like I said- best decision ever. I went for a proportionate size and a very natural look, so even in a bathing suit you probably couldn't tell. Totally something I did for me and I've never regretted it for a second!

Ha. Thanks godawgs. Reading fail. I should stick to s&b during the day when my brain isn't fried.
Thanks girls! Vamp- lol yes my husband is *very* happy that I am holding off on surgery haha!
Renata- I totally get how you feel! My bottom half is two sizes different than my top, so finding dresses that fit is a challenge. You look fantastic, I'm so glad you're happy with your results!
Like I said though, if I was totally flat I'd have gotten this done already hah, but I've got a little bit to work with so I'll be patient

I've been back and forth on this for years, and I asked Joanis a ton of questions when she had hers done last year, and she helped me be more in the pro camp of getting them done especially if I was doing them for me.
Now, I'm thinking I'll wait and see what pregnancy and breast feeding do to them. If they really take a toll on them, it'll be nice to bring back some definition and lift, but I'm not looking to go noticably big or anything. But I'm deathly scared of surgery, and the thought of elective surgery scares me even more. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there..
I think you got some really great advice from the ladies here. I really liked the pp who said you shouldn't do it unless you're 100% sure about it. If any part of you is unsure, maybe you shouldn't, or you're just not ready yet and should wait until you are. Maybe you should just wait until after you've had kids and see what motherhood has done to them (helped or made matters worse lol) and how you feel about the surgery then. Sorry if I'm all over the place, I guess I'm just spilling out all my thoughts on the subject.

Ha for what it's worth, my BFF's chest used to be pretty small and flat and after having kids they got bigger with breastfeeding and haven't gone down. I think they are there to stay, she's so lucky. So for what it's worth, I think you should definitely wait to see what happens after kids. I don't need or want an augmentation now, but I'm almost 100% sure that I'll eventually get them fixed if having kids/breastfeeding messes them up.
