I just finished ME3 last night. The ending was entirely lackluster, though I'm not spewing mad about it. And frankly on the whole I enjoyed ME2 far better, even if I was able to be voyeuristic & get it on with a chic in ME3. (Though I have never tried that in ME2, I always play Shepard as a female.)

The ending sucked. Although I wouldn't put it past Bioware's writers to think they're doing some philosophical shit about manifest destiny or something like that. I'm almost afraid this epilogue DLC is going to fuck it up worse but we shall see. On the plus side, at least female Shepard had some less horrendous hair style options this time.
OK, Red Alert: Maybe it's due to the fact that my Xbox 360 hasn't been hooked up to the interwebz for over a year, and that's the platform I played ME1 and ME2 on...
But last night out of nostalgia I decided to start ME2 (on PS3 this time, which IS networked), partly to enjoy the best game of the trilogy and partly so I could see if a carryover Shepard into ME3 improves it at all.
After 30 minutes of patches, downloads and updates installing, I started playing - and I am already noticing new stuff! I start out with not only the standard N7 starter armor, but also a Blood Dragon uniform! And the Illusive Man looks to be offering me an additional crew member? Did I miss out on all this because I wasn't hooked up?
Now I'm all excited to delve into ME2 again, and this time I'm playing Shepard as a BMF male.
I love ME. I'm still slogging through ME2, I'm one of those obnoxious completionists who has to finish every quest, and I'll probably have something like 60 hours racked up on it by the time I finish. Doesn't help that I got distracted trying Fable 2.

This sounds right. H plays on xbox live and gets these things . . . I think. Remember, I don't play. I just embroider or feed the baby while he does.
