I have all the books I could need, and what more could I need than books? I shall only engage in commerce if books are the coin. -- Catherynne M. Valente
In all seriousness, I prefer regular, organic (!) sugar to agave, but I think agave has a lower glycemic index, so it's better for your pancreas. I think.
I've heard since the hype that it really is not that good for you.
I've heard this too-- that healthwise, it's no better than other sweeteners (sugar is sugar). I think it caught on because it's vegan in a way that processed sugar (because of the bone char in some processing) and honey (b/c of bees) aren't.
I don't like agave. I tried it once, admittedly after I heard Giada deLaurentis say she used it in her coffee. I should have known that Italian jerkface would lead me astray.
Spaghet-TI! Rrrrricote- a!
LMAO! I'm not sure why I love this but I do.
I have one of her cookbooks. Her stuffed mushrooms ain't shit. But I make her marsala a few times a month.

Does it make anyone else's mouth dry after awhile like it does with me?
You know what does that to me? Kamut. Any kamut baked good I buy at the fancy hippy bakery I love makes me feel like I have a dry plastic-y mouth afterwards.
